About the Author
Amy is a 40-something and mother of three navigating the divorcee-world of working to build a business, dating and co-parenting, after the collapse of her marriage ended her dedication as a full-time stay at home mother.
She grew up within her very close (and large!) extended family in midwest America, built on humble hardwork and pursuit of preserving family values. By the time she graduated high school, she had three different jobs and no intention of continuing her education at age 18. She was climbing in her successful career when she met her future husband. A year into their marriage, she became pregnant with her first born and in her 9th month of pregnancy, she left her job to embark on the greatest privilege of her life, motherhood as a stay at home caregiver.
Everything she thought she knew about her life vanished in 2018. She found herself having to start all over from the ground up, but this time as an adult with three little humans, and who hadn’t worked in six years. Adjusting to a life that is 50% of the time momma and 50% of the time solo, Amy has spent the last few years not only learning all sorts of lessons the hard way, but also re-learning who she is and who she wants to be.
On one of the tougher days, early in her journey, she found a gift on her doorstep addressed to her. An anonymous gift; a simple and significant gold bracelet with the words “Keep F*cking Going” etched on the inside. Her best friend had sent her the reminder and Amy has kept it on her wrist from that day forward. She Keeps Going is a blog dedicated to sharing stories of her own and of others who have had experiences that can help educate and inspire us to persevere through life’s challenges.
